Nollywood actors Lateef Adedimeji and his wife Adebimpe Oyebade, known professionally as Mo Bimpe, have announced the birth of triplet sons, ending months of quiet speculation with an emotional Instagram announcement on Friday.
Adedimeji shared the news on May 1, 2026, through a video posted on his official Instagram page, confirming the arrival of the babies. The couple revealed their growing family in a moving video featuring a sonogram and matching “Mum” and “Dad” caps.
In the post, Adedimeji wrote: “I’ve been quiet, not absent. I was building, protecting, and embracing the greatest blessing of my life. God gave me more than I prayed for, a woman who became a mother of three, and three kings to call my own. My world. My responsibility. My legacy. Alhamdulilah.”
The couple hinted at the announcement with the caption “We’ve been keeping a secret,” before the full post confirmed the arrival of three boys.
The actor did not disclose the date of birth or the names of the children. Fellow Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe was among the first to respond, writing: “To God be the glory.” The announcement triggered an outpouring of congratulatory messages from colleagues, fans and the wider entertainment community.
Lateef and Adebimpe, who are both actors and filmmakers, got married on December 18, 2021. Together they have produced award-winning work, most notably Lisabi: The Uprising, which won Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) at the 2025 AMVCA. Its sequel, Lisabi: A Legend Is Born, is nominated in the same category at the 12th edition of the awards scheduled for May 9, 2026.
The couple had faced years of public pressure and unsolicited commentary about childlessness following their wedding. Adedimeji had previously addressed what he described as intrusive questions about their family plans, urging the public to respect their journey. Friday’s announcement was widely received as a powerful response to that scrutiny.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues across social media.
